راهی که نرفتمش
در جنگلی زرد
دو راهی ای بود
افسوس
نمی شد از هر دو گذشت
تک مسافر بودم من
ایستاده بر راه
دیرزمانی نگریستمش
راهی پر شده از علف های هرز
به راه دیگر رفتم
خوب تر می نمود انگار
می خواند مرا گویی
سبز بود و در تمنّای لگدمال شدن
به راه رفتن
سبزی اش را لگدمال میکرد
مثل دیگری
آن روز صبح
گستره ی هر دو راه روبرویم
رد پایی روی برگ ها نبود
راه اول برای روزی دیگر!
اگرچه می دانستم
هر راهی به راهی دیگر می رسد.
بازگشتی در کار نبود.
می گویم این را
با آه می گویمش
که جایی
سالها پیش
جنگلی بود و یک دوراهی
و من
من راه بی مسافرتر را رفتم
و همان
آغاز تمام فاصله ها شد

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
